Baking has always held a special place in my heart.
It’s meant more than just treats.
It’s meant comfort, safety, home, and love.

As a teen, I would help my mom bake her famous Christmas sugar cookies for neighbors and friends.
We would work late into the night.
she would frost, and I would sprinkle.
I would talk, and she would listen.

When I became a mom, I began the hunt for the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe. When I was introduced to my favorite one, I tweaked it until it was everything I wanted it to be.
